FESTIVAL OF TALENTS

The Festival of Talents at Lala Proper Integrated School (LPIS) is an annual event that showcases the diverse skills, talents, and achievements of its students across various disciplines. The festival serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their proficiency and passion in areas such as journalism, mathematics, science, technology, and the arts, as they compete to become the best representatives for the division level competitions. Here's a description of each contest:

1. Journalism Contest:

In the journalism contest, students exhibit their writing prowess, journalistic skills, and critical thinking abilities. Participants may compete in categories such as news writing, feature writing, editorial writing, and photojournalism. They are tasked with producing high-quality articles, stories, or photographs that demonstrate their ability to effectively communicate and report on relevant issues and events.

2. Math and Science Olympics:

The Math and Science Olympics challenge students to apply their mathematical and scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills in competitive settings. Participants engage in a series of activities such as Damath, Sudoku, Team Quiz, Math Trails, Tessellation Art and problem-solving exercises that cover various topics in mathematics and science. This contest aims to foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and creativity among participants while promoting excellence in these academic disciplines.

3. Technolympics:

: The Technolympics competition focuses on technology and livelihood design. Students showcase their proficiency in technical drafting, cooking, food carving, and dress making. The Technolympics encourage students to explore and harness the potential of technology to solve real-world problems and create innovative solutions.

4. Sining Tanghalan (Art Showcase):

Sining Tanghalan is an art showcase where students demonstrate their talents in various forms of artistic expression, including canvass paintings, singing, and dancing. This contest celebrates creativity, artistic expression, and cultural appreciation, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents and passion for the arts.

Through the Festival of Talents, LPIS aims to promote holistic development and excellence among its students, encouraging them to explore their interests, hone their talents, and strive for personal and academic growth. Winners of each contest are selected based on criteria such as creativity, technical skill, innovation, and presentation, and they go on to represent the school at the division level competitions, where they compete against other schools in the region.
